A man who admitted to Gandhi Hospital on May 30 with coronavirus symptoms is said to have gone missing from the hospital. Family members of the man said that they had last spoken to him on May 31 and later his mobile phone got switched off.

Mukesh Singh, brother of the patient said that Narender Singh was admitted to King Koti hospital after he complained of breathlessness. "He was kept in King Koti hospital for two hours and was later taken to Gandhi Hospital," Mukesh said. He further said that he spoke to his brother on the next day over the phone.

Even after a fortnight, the family found no news about him and approached Mangalhat police. After an inquiry, the police found that the name of Narender Singh was recorded in the out-patient register and no name was found in admission register. The investigation is underway.
