The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) services will be suspended till May 31 after the centre in its guidelines stated that no metro services will be provided until lockdown 4.0.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) services will be suspended till May 31 after the centre in its guidelines stated that no metro services will be provided until lockdown 4.0.

The centre said that the operating metro services could lead to the rise in coronavirus positive cases with no social distancing being maintained. The metro services were suspended when the government announced the lockdown in the state.

Though the operations were suspended, the metro trains, stations and corridors are being sanitized by the metro staff.

Besides the metro, the centre also said that inter-state bus services will be run on the consent of the two states. And also the state government were directed to decide on operating RTC buses.
