Chanchalguda: Telangana State Prisons Department first batch of newly selected warders Induction training-2020 was inaugurated by Telangana State Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali at Central prisons in Chanchalguda on Friday.

A total 180 warders (Male-151 and Female-29 ) were selected by Telangana State level Police recruitment board and allotted to Telangana Prisons Department, out of 180 warders 153 were reported and undergoing basic induction training for a period of 9 months and field training for 3 months at various prisons.

Mahmood Ali attended as chief guest and gave a message to newly recruited warders that, Telangana Prisons have stood at first in India and became a role model to the other states, it should be continued in future also. They should utilise this training period to learn to deal with the issues such as safety, security and welfare of inmates who should be reformed and reintegrated into the society.

Director-General of Prisons Rajiv Trivedi stressed on the importance of discipline and physical fitness of individual along with family. Inspector General of Prisons, B Saidaiah congratulated the newly recruited warders and apprised the Home Minister on the activities and schedule of training course.

DIG of Prisons Hyderabad Range M R Bhaskar, DIG of Prisons Warangal Range Y Rajesh and other Prison officers were also present.
