Bagh Lingampally: SFI city president Ashok Reddy, secretary Javed and KVPS leader Pagadala Lakshmaiah urged everyone to watch the recently released Telugu movie 'Degree College', which is based on a real incident of honour killing of lovers Swathi and Naresh. Both belonging to different castes had got married in 2017. The leaders were speaking at a press meet organised here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Sunday.

Pagadala Lakshmaiah said that the movie depicts how the couple was tortured by police for committing inter-caste marriage. The movie also shows police apathy against a dalit woman who was raped by an upper caste youth.
