The junior doctors at Gandhi Hospital continued to stage a protest on Wednesday morning after a medico was attacked by a relative COVID-19 deceased patient on Tuesday night.

The junior doctors at Gandhi Hospital continued to stage a protest on Wednesday morning after a medico was attacked by a relative COVID-19 deceased patient on Tuesday night.

The doctors staged a sit-in protest in front of the Gandhi Hospital carrying placards, demanding the government to provide security to them. They alleged that the attack on doctors is due to the negligence of the management. Transfer of coronavirus services from Gandhi Hospital and improve the security facilities are the two main demands of the doctors.

After the attack on the doctor, all the junior doctors staged a protest in the hospital campus throughout the night. Junior doctors from other teaching hospitals in Adilabad and other districts of Telangana held rallies in support of their batchmates in Gandhi.

On the other hand, the Hyderabad police have arrested two persons who attacked a junior doctor and registered a case against them. In a tweet, the Hyderabad city police said that any circumstances attack on Medical staff will not be tolerated. Most firm and stringent legal action will be taken.
