Hyderabad: The TSRTC Employees Union on Wednesday asked as to why the management did not initiate action against the officials involved in irregularities during the workers strike even after the audit report of 15 depots in the city pointed out malpractices by the officials.

The Employees Union president S Babu alleged that the during the 55-day strike period from September 5 to November 28 there were instances of some officials embezzled money deposited by the temporary conductors.

Some of the officials had deduced the daily wage of temporary drivers and conductors. "The audit report from 15 depots in the city pointed out that several officials had indulged in irregularities and recommended the management to take action against them. Why the management is not taking action even after the submission of audit report," asked S Babu.

Babu further said that the management suspends conductors and drivers even if one passenger complaints against him but not taking any action against the officials involved in irregularities as found out by the audit report. There cannot be two different rules for employees and officials, he said. The management should take disciplinary action against the erring officials, demanded Babu.
