Patancheru: A contract worker, Anil Kumar (25) of Metropole Alloys Factory in Patancheru industrial estate, was killed on Wednesday when he accidentally got trapped in a machine belt.
According to the Patancheru police, Kumar, a native of Maharashtra, was living in Pocharam village along with his family. He had been employed as a contract worker in the factory. The incident occurred during the afternoon when he was on general shift duty. He was trapped in a machine belt while it was suddenly switched on. The death was instantaneous. CI Naresh said the body was shifted to the local government hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
