Nizamabad: BJP district president Palle Ganga Reddy and former MLA Yendala Lakshminarayana said the government should increase purchase centres and provide minimum support price (MSP) to the farmers to compensate for the crop loss due to unexpected rains.

Speaking at a press meet at the party office here on Monday, they informed that the party district executive meeting will be conducted at 10.30 am on Tuesday (October 29) at Baswa Gardens here. BJP State vice-presidents Kasam Venkateshwar and OS Reddy and Nizamabad Parliamentarian Dharmapuri Arvind will be the chief guests.

Criticising Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for showing no response to the RTC employees' strike for the past 24 days, they alleged that KCR is trying to sell and rob RTC assets.

They recalled that ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he has been celebrating every Deepavali festival along with the soldiers, who dedicate their life for national security. If Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), introduced by the Central government had been implemented in the State, financial burden on the farmers would have been reduced, they observed.
