Infra works on fast track in Karimnagar
Development of Karimnagar district has been going on at fast pace as several infrastructure works are in progress and many are on verge of completion, said District Panchayat Raj Engineer M Vishnuvardhan Reddy on Monday.
Karimnagar: Development of Karimnagar district has been going on at fast pace as several infrastructure works are in progress and many are on verge of completion, said District Panchayat Raj Engineer M Vishnuvardhan Reddy on Monday.
Vishnuvardhan Reddy told Hans India that as many as 4,378 infrastructure works at the cost of Rs 411.6 crore are going on in the district. Rural roads, bridges, agricultural godowns, Gram Panchayat & Anganwadi building works are few of those which are underway. The work of roads and buildings will be completed before advent of the rainy season, he added.
Construction of rural roads out of 109 works sanctioned to construct BT roads with an estimated cost of Rs 145.63 crore to a length 260.28 Km; 85 works completed up to a length of 193.07 Km and remaining 25 works are under progress. The expenditure incurred until now was Rs 100.29 crore.
A total of 455 CRR CC Roads were sanctioned with an estimated cost of Rs 20.19 crore to a length 40.38 km out of which 362 works are completed up to a length of 32.00 Km and remaining works are under progress.
Construction of 17 bridges was sanctioned with an estimated cost of Rs. 31.53 crore out of which 13 works are completed so far. The rest are under progress and the expenditure incurred was Rs. 14.87 crore.
Agriculture storage godowns cum drying platforms:- A total of 12 works sanctioned under MGNREGS with an estimate cost of Rs. 4.80 crores; out of which 4 are completed, 7 are under progress and one has not started. The expenditure incurred Rs. 1.73 crores.
As many as 1644 MGNREGS CC Roads were sanctioned with an estimate cost of Rs 74.74 crores out of which 1,239 works are completed and 129 are under progress and 276 works did not start. While the expenditure incurred till now was Rs 37.36 crore.
As many as 69 MGNREGS GP buildings are sanctioned with an estimate cost of Rs. 8.97 crores; out of which 20 completed; 22 under progress and 27 yet to start. The expenditure incurred Rs. 5.19 crore.
PMGSY Ph-XI total 5 number of works sanctioned with an estimate cost of Rs. 7.09 crore. All works completed and expenditure incurred Rs. 4.38 crore.
PACS total 8 Primary Agricultural CoOperative Society Buildings with an estimate cost of Rs. 7.67 crores: All the works are under progress.
DMFT 2,069 works sanctioned with an estimate cost of Rs 110.98 crore; out of which 184 works completed, 694 works are under progress and 1191 works did not started and the expenditure incurred Rs. 3.65 crore.
Despite the meagre staff, the work is moving a faster pace, said the Panchayat Raj Engineer.
