Income-Tax officials on Wednesday conducted searches in the residence and offices of Kukatpally TRS MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao.
Hyderabad: Income-Tax officials on Wednesday conducted searches in the residence and offices of Kukatpally TRS MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao. The searches were conducted in connection with Praneeth Homes Company's financial transactions in which the MLA's son Sandeep Rao is continuing as one of the Director.
According to I-T sources the searches were conducted at the residences and offices of MLA at Venkatrao Nagar colony in Kukatpally from the morning hours on Wednesday. The officials also conducted searches in the offices of Praneeth Homes Company and in the residences of its five directors.
According to sources, the officials have seized several key documents related to the transaction of properties and lands done by the construction company. The searches at the residence and offices of ruling party MLA raised a debate among local public and in political parties.
