Khammam: To create awareness on the harmful effect of plastic use, the Fourth Class Non-Gazetted Employees Union took out a rally in the town on Monday.
Demanding a ban on plastic, the union leaders appealed to the people to shun the use of the harmful substance. They also explained how plastic is causing diseases to the people.
They urged the residents to extend their support in making the town plastic-free. Union's district unit president K Lingaiah, secretary R Venkateswara Rao, and town president G Nageswara Rao, secretary Bikku, and other leaders of the union P Anjamma, G Akkaiah, P Venkata Ramana, Odelu, Syeed Ali, S Ramu, S Venkateswarlu, Ramprasad, Ch Narayana Rao and Pratappothan participated in the rally.
