Hyderabad: Jai KTR slogans reverberated during the swearing-in ceremony of new Ministers at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
After K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao entered the Raj Bhavan lawns where the ceremony was conducted, KTR's supporters who were seated in VIP gallery stood up and gave "Jai KTR" slogans nonstop for a few minutes. This was before the actual programme commenced.
K T Rama Rao was the second one to take oath on Sunday after Harish Rao. As soon as KTR's name was announced, Jai KTR slogans started again and it was left to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself to waive his hand at supporters and asking them to stop.
After KTR taking the oath, he took blessings of his father and greeted the Governor and audience amidst big applause from the supporters.
Unlike, oath ceremonies held in the past, TRS party leaders and supporters of the six newly inducted Ministers came to Raj Bhavan in big numbers. Majority of them had VIP passes with them to enter inside the venue.
KTR wore handloom clothes for the swearing in ceremony held on Sunday. It may be recalled that he served as the Textiles Minister in his first term ( 2014-18) and he made an earnest appeal to the government employees and public to support the handloom sector by sporting handloom wear once in a week (every Monday).
Not only he gave a call, but he also set an example to others by wearing handloom clothes on special occasions like birthday, festivals etc.
