Jaipal Reddy's last rites performed
The mortal remains of senior Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy were consigned to flames by his elder son Arvind Reddy after State honours were accorded to the departed leader near PV Ghat at Necklace Road in Hyderabad on Monday.

Thousands of people including top Congress leaders turned up for Reddy's final rites. AICC General Secretaries Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mallikarjun Kharge and former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other Karnataka Congress leaders attended the funeral.
Earlier, Reddy's body was brought to Telangana Congress for public view for brief time and then the last journey was taken out (Antima yatra) from the party office to necklace road.
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadava and TRS senior leader T Harish Rao and others were also present.
