Jangaon: One killed in road mishap
A 46-year-old person was killed in a road mishap near Nidigonda bridge in Jangaon district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Thodeti Yadagiri.
Jangaon: A 46-year-old person was killed in a road mishap near Nidigonda bridge in Jangaon district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Thodeti Yadagiri. The mishap occurred when Yadagiri along with his wife travelling on a two-wheeler was hit by a TSRTC bus.
Yadagiri, who sustained head injury, died on the spot, while his wife Laxmibai was admitted to the Jangaon Area Hospital. The duo was heading to Hyderabad from Nidigonda.
The narrow diversion was said to be the reason behind the accident. Due to the ongoing road widening works of the NH 163, the bridge is being reconstructed and a narrow diversion road was laid to go around the construction works. Raghunathpally Sub Inspector S Venu Gopal said that the driver of the bus fled from the spot after the mishap.
