Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday dismissed the objections raised by Congress party over invitation sent to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for the inauguration of Kaleshwaram Project.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, TRS MLC K. Prabhakar said that the Telangana Government has completed the construction of a prestigious project in a short time. Instead of feeling proud, the Congress leaders have been raising basless objections over its inauguration. He said similar objections were raised when State Government invited Prime Minister Narender Modi for the launch of Mission Bhagiratha. He said TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy had written a letter to the Prime Minister asking him not to attend the inaugural programme.

Prabhakar said that the Congress party tried to create obstacles in the construction of project despite the fact that the State Government provided best relief and rehabilitation packages to the displaced victims. He asked whether the Congress party could ask its cadre not to utilise the water supplied through Kaleshwaram project. He advised the Congress leaders to change their attitude towards development programmes.
