Karimnagar: People of Reddy community should develop as a political force then only the poor people of this community can develop, stated District Reddy Union president Narahari Jagga Reddy.

The Reddy community people paid tributes to Pingali Venkata Rama Reddy on his 151st birth anniversary at RBVRR Reddy Kalyana Mandapam here on Thursday. Jagga Reddy said the government should apply welfare schemes to the poor people belonging to Reddy community also.

He also asked to allot two per cent reservation to Reddy community in jobs and education.

RBVRR Foundation President Dr Bhoom Reddy said Pingali Venkata Rama Reddy had a great reputation as a police commissioner in Nizam's government. Dr Edaveli Vijender Reddy informed that a statue of Pingali Venkata Rama Reddy will be unveiled in front of SRR College on August 25. Later they unveiled a wallposter in this regard.

Vuchchidi Mohan Reddy, Ottkuri Radhakrishna Reddy, Muninder Reddy, Srinivasa Reddy, Jannupur Reddy, Rajeshwar Reddy, Narasimha Reddy, Kuruma Mahipal Reddy, Ram Reddy, Kesara Reddy and others were preset at the programme.
