KCR wants to rule like dictator: Ponnam
Alleges CM doesn’t want Dalit leader in Assembly
Karimnagar: Taking a pot-shot at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Congress' LS candidate from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday alleged that the former had an understanding with the BJP that's why he went for early Assembly polls.
Speaking to media persons at Karimnagar, Ponnam said people had given TRS second chance by giving full majority of 88 seats fearing that they would not get pensions, unemployment dole, Kalyana Laxmi cheques and KCR kits that were introduced by the government. Instead of accepting the people's mandate and focusing on ruling, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who wants to rule like a dictator, got defected the Congress party MLCs so that there should not be any one in the Legislative Council to question him.
He might dislike Dalits, but it is the responsibility of the CM to treat everyone equally and provide opportunities to everyone. Before going to elections he had promised that he would make a Dalit a Chief Minister but did not fulfill it. Later, he dismissed the a Dalit leader from the post of Deputy CM without giving him a chance to resign.
Apart from that when the Congress party made Bhatti Vikramarka, a Dalit, the Leader of Opposition, CM KCR, who does not want a Dalit leader to sit in front of him, is encouraging defections and purchasing the Congress party MLA's to suppress the voice of Opposition.
KCR did not extend his Cabinet even after two months of formation of the government. Telangana is not his own property, in a democratic country it is one of the 29 State in India. The discussions that will takes place in the Assembly about the people's issues must be solved by the party which is in power. But without any opposition in the Assembly, how the people's issues will be solved, who will be question the government, it is against the democracy, he added.
Realising this, the people had taught TRS party a fitting lesson in the recently held MLC elections. Some of the TRS leaders are saying that they did not give B-forms to MLC candidates, then why they made them to sit beside them in the press meets and campaigning that was held during the elections and told people that those were the party candidates, he questioned. The TRS is losing faith among the people that is why its candidates got only 17 per cent of votes in the recently held MLC elections and the same is going to be repeated in coming of LS elections. He appealed to the people to vote for him and elect him in the upcoming LS elections and give him big majority for the development of the Karimnagar.
