TRS Floor Leader in Lok Sabha leader Nama Nageswara Rao has appealed to the central government do amend the Indian Penal Code (IPC ) and Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) for swift punishment to rapists, while participating in the debate on rape and murder of vet doctor Disha in Hyderabad, in Parliament on Monday.
Khammam: TRS Floor Leader in Lok Sabha leader Nama Nageswara Rao has appealed to the central government do amend the Indian Penal Code (IPC ) and Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) for swift punishment to rapists, while participating in the debate on rape and murder of vet doctor Disha in Hyderabad, in Parliament on Monday.
He said the Telgangana government is taking all measures to protect women in the State and She Teams are working towards protecting woman from eve teasing. After the Disha incident, police arrested the criminals within 6 hours and produced them in the court in 20 hours, he informed. He said the State government is creating awareness on usage of dial100. The police officers were suspended for not discharging duty in responsible way.
He said, the Disha incident is very painful. There must be a new law to punish the criminals in 30 days in the fast track courts.
