Khammam: Panicked over arrest for cheating lover, youth commits suicide
The girl who had lodged complaint against him, also consumes pesticide after learning about her beloved’s death
Khammam: Panicked over police case a, 22-year-old boy committed suicide by consuming pesticide at industrial area in Gurralapadu village in Khammam rural mandal on Saturday.
After his death, his 19-year-old lover also consumed pesticide and battling with life in the hospital.
According to police, Dodda Renu Kumar(22), resident of Gurralapadu village in Khammam rural mandal, is tractor driver. He fell in love with a 19-year-old girl living in his neighbour. They had relationship for some time he refused to marry her. She lodged complaint in Khammam rural police station against Renukumar for cheating her.
Rural police registered a case against Renukumar under section of Ipc 376 on March 4. After learning about the case, Renukumar got panicked and went to industrial area in the village and consumed pesticide and died.
When the girl learned about the incident, she also consumed pesticide at her house. She was shifted to the government hospital for treatment.
Khammam rural CI P Satyanarayana Reddy said her condition is said to be critical. He also said on the complaint of the girl police had registered a case against Renukumar. He also said the girl attempted suicide earlier also when Renukumar rejected to marry her.
But family members of Renukumar alleged their son died due to police calling him to the police station in the name of investigation.
