Chevella: All major parties have announced their candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. Earlier, the Congress high command declared Visweshwar Reddy as its candidate from Chevalla. Subsequently, Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Chief KCR named Ranjit Reddy followed by BJP announcing Janardhana Reddy on Saturday evening.

Candidates and leaders are gearing up to impress the voters in public meetings. There are four Assembly constituencies in the Chevalla Parliamentary constituency, which are Vikarabad, Tandur, Parigi and Kondangal, which is with Mahbubnagar distirct. A major part of the district is in the Chevella constituency. That's why the entire concentration is on this district.

Vikarabad has a major portion of rural voters and this time the polling percentage is expected to be higher. Though Serilingampally has six lakh voters, the poll percentage recorded here, as per previous records is very low. That is why the party leaders are focused on rural areas. Star-campaigners are organizing public meetings and roadshows.

Congress candidate Vishweshwar Reddy has already visited the district twice. On the other hand, TRS candidate Ranjit Reddy has met local MLAs and leaders in three constituencies in the district on Sunday. Former minister Mahender Reddy shouldered the responsibility of the TRS campaign. He is organising various meetings with MLAs and leaders of the constituencies.

BJP candidate Janardhana Reddy has been working in the constituency for a year-and-a-half. Vishweshwar Reddy has already commenced his campaign while TRS candidate Ranjit Reddy and Janardhana Reddy of BJP are yet to launch their poll campaign.
