Kothagudem: The district leaders of CPM met Kothagudem Municipal Commissioner Sampath Kumar on Friday and appealed him to see it that beneficiaries get the Aasara pensions.

Party's town secretary Bhukya Ramesh along with other leaders met the Commissioner and discussed various issues.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh said many beneficiaries were not getting the Aasara pensions and appealed the Commissioner to take the issue to the notice of the government and see to it that the issue was resolved immediately.

He alleged that TRS government was not implementing the poll promises and has neglected several issues though it was going to complete one year after it came to power for the second time.

He added that though people of coal town were facing many problems under the municipality, the officers were not taking any interest in solving them.

Later, the party leaders submitted a memorandum to the Commissioner in his office. CPM leaders J Nagesh, Prakash, Sammaiah, Jayashri, Hyma and other leaders were part of the group that called on the Municipal Commissioner.
