Kothagudem: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday arrested Mandal Parishad Development Officer of Gundala A Srinivas Rao while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant.
According to ACB sleuths, the accused officer demanded bribe from the complainant B Veeram Raju for processing and clearing a cheque for Rs 6.50 lakh. On Monday, as per the wish of Srinivas, Veeram Raju handed over the amount to him.
The ACB inspector caught Srinivas red-handed when he was accepting the bribe amount. The officials seized the amount and booked a case against Srinivas Rao.
