Govt failed to provide water, funds and jobs for which people had joined the separate State movement, says State BJP president K Laxman

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman said the TRS rule in the State is defeating the objective of "Neellu, Nidhulu and Niyamakalu" (water, funds and jobs), for which people had fought for the creation of separate Telangana State.

Addressing after hoisting the tricolour marking the occasion of the State Formation Day at the State party headquarters here on Sunday, he extended greetings to the people of the State. At the same time, Laxman stressed that the State should be freed from the dictatorial and corruption-ridden government of the TRS.

He said that the TRS had promised during the Separate State agitation to celebrate November 17 officially as the Telangana Liberation Day. However, once in power it had given in to the pressure of the Majlis and failed to fulfill its promise, he added.

The BJP leader said that State government had pushed Telangana into a debt burden of Rs 1.8 lakh crore in the last five year as against Rs 60,000 crore loan burden accrued in the last 60 years.

Similarly, hopes of the students who played a crucial role in the separate Telangana Movement were dashed as the government failed to fill the vacant jobs.

Also, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had vowed not to ask for votes unless every household was provided with tap water connection. But, "it is only corruption that is flowing in the Mission Bhagiratha," he alleged.

Stating that the TRS has failed on all the three issues for which the separate State has been crated and asked people to liberate the State from the clutches of the TRS.

He asked farmers, students, women and all other sections of people to come forward and joint BJP in its efforts to fight against the current TRS regime.
