However, schools, malls, movie theatres will remain closed in lockdown 4.0, according to the sources.

As the public is learning to live with the coronavirus, the government is expected to provide more relaxations without lifting the lockdown. Speaking on the lockdown 4.0, senior officials said that the no state and Union Territory wants the complete lockdown and are expecting to resume the business activities.

Salons, barbershops and spas could be allowed in the red zones except in areas that have been marked as containment zones. Currently, they are opened in the orange and green zones.

Coming to public transport, the centre has plans to allow limited relaxation on local trains, buses and metro rail services in red zones, excluding containment zones. And the decision on opening market places in orange and red zones have been given to the state government.

The e-commerce services may also be allowed to deliver non-essential items in red zones except the containment areas.
