Lovers consume pesticide in a suicide bid
Lovers attempted suicide in the district on Sunday. According to sources, Swathi and Naveen of Kadaveru village of Cheryala mandal in Siddipet district consumed the pesticide after the elders of the both families rejected their marriage proposal.

According to sources, Swathi and Naveen of Kadaveru village of Cheryala mandal in Siddipet district consumed the pesticide after the elders of the both families rejected their marriage proposal. The duo fell in love a few months ago. On Saturday, they left their village and reached Bhongir.
On Sunday, they reached the Bhongir Fort and consumed the pesticide which they brought along with them. However, Naveen soon informed about their suicide to their friends residing in Bhongir town over the phone.
The shocked friends immediately passed the information to police who swung into action and rushed to the spot. They shifted the duo to government Area Hospital in Bhongir for treatment. According to sources, the condition of the pair is critical. Bhongir police registered a case and took up the investigation.
