HC orders status quo on plastic units on Mir Alam Tank

Justice P Naveen Rao of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday pronounced an interim order to maintain status quo pertaining to the plastic units set up on the lake bed and buffer zone of Mir Alam Tank in the Hyderabad area.

Justice pronounced this order against the earlier decision of the GHMC to demolition plastic structures built near the Mir Alam Tank.

The Judge heard Government Pleader for Revenue Department M Harish Kumar who assured the court that a joint survey would be taken up to demarcate areas near the tank for taking action against the petitioners.

The Judge therefore ordered for a status quo and posted the matter to three weeks.
