Mayor exchanges MoU with Mowo Foundation for motor training centre for women
GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan exchanged MOU with Mowo Social Initiatives Foundation
Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan exchanged MOU with Mowo Social Initiatives Foundation, (not for profit organisation) led by Jai Bharathi, Telangana Woman Motorcyclist which was signed by Hari Chandana Dasari, Zonal Commissioner, Serilingampally Zone, GHMC.
In its endeavour to promote various skill development programmes for women, ZC SLPZ GHMC has collaborated with Mowo Social Initiatives to set up first of its kind Motor training centre for women to encourage women to learn to ride two-wheelers and also get employed in several food delivery platforms across the city.
Under this MOU, Gopanpally Mahila Bhavan will be used to encourage and train women from Self Help groups of GHMC in the zone.
Once set up, this will be first of its kind two-wheeler skilling training centre for women focused on women entrepreneurship, women's employment in the traditionally male-dominated sector and will promote women safety in the city with more women riders.
