Hyderabad: Hailstorm occurred at isolated places in the districts of Karimnagar, Jagityal, Rajannasircilla, Kumarambheem, Yadadriabhuvanagiri, Siddipet and Rangareddy on Saturday.

"The trough at 1.5 km above mean sea level from Chhattisgarh to Coastal Karnataka now runs from Chhattisgarh to South Interior Karnataka across Telangana and North Interior Karnataka. An upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9 km above mean sea level lies over North Interior Karnataka and neighbourhood. The trough of low at mean sea level over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining central parts of South Bay of Bengal persists. An upper air cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh & adjoining areas of Vidarbha and Telangana extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level has become less marked," the India Meteorological Department said in its bulletin.

The Met Department predicted that thunderstorm, accompanied with gusty winds (40-50 KMPH ) and lightning, was very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana State on Sunday. However, the maximum temperature was likely to continue above normal by 2-3 Degrees Celsius at isolated places in TS. On Saturday, Ghanpur (Jangaon District) received 3 CM of rainfall while many other areas received 2 to 1 cm of rainfall.

Highest Maximum Temperature of 41 Degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad,Medak and Nizamabad. Hyderabad witnessed a drop in temperature by 2 Degrees Celsius to 36.
