Metro services on Begumpet-Ameerpet stretch disrupted for 20 minutes after a banner fell on the overhead electric wires on Friday evening.

The flexi dislodged on the wires due to the strong winds between Begumpet and Ameerpet metro line following which a train halted for five minutes in the mid-route and the services were disrupted for 20 minutes.

However, the metro engineers struggled for a few minutes and removed the flexi.

In a similar incident, the metro rail services were halted in May, 2018 when an advertisement banner fell on the electric wires between Ameerpet and Nagole stretch.
