Nagarkurnool: Two-wheelers to help fishermen sell their catch distributed
With the State government providing subsidised vehicles for the fishermen community to help them transport and market their catch sans any hassles, Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy distributed TVS Luna vehicles to fishermen at a programme organised in Shagapur village of Pangal mandal on Wednesday.
Nagarkurnool: With the State government providing subsidised vehicles for the fishermen community to help them transport and market their catch sans any hassles, Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy distributed TVS Luna vehicles to fishermen at a programme organised in Shagapur village of Pangal mandal on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that as part government's initiative to improve the livelihood of the local fishermen through their traditional employment opportunities, the government was committed to facilitate them with all the required marketing facilities. "As part of integrated fishermen community development programme, we are providing transportation vehicles, nets, fishing boats and baskets for the fishermen to help them to carry out marketing and earn good income," said the MLA.
Mandal Parishad president Sridhar Reddy, Sarpanch of Shagapur Mounika, MPTC Subbaiah Yadav and officials from Fisheries department in Nagarkurnool attended the programme.
