Nagarjuna Sagar (Nalgonda): District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil directed the officials concerned to carry out sanitation programmes as per the sanitation drive to make the villages clean and healthy.

On Wednesday, along with Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, the Collector inspected the week-long sanitation drive at Bankapur of Nidmanoor mandal and Madari Gudem of Anumula mandal in Nagarjuna Sagar constituency. Later, they checked gram panchayat nurseries in Madarigudem and Bankapuram villages and inquired the nursery workers about the saplings' names and growth rate.

Speaking on this occasion n, Collector Patil advised the officials to take up tall plants along the roadside from mandal to villages under Haritha Haram and in gram panchayats under avenue plantation drive. He further advised them to provide tree guards, supporting sticks to avoid bending and ordered to provide water to the plants by tankers.

The Collector enquired the nursery workers about their salary payments and also inquired the villagers about the status of dumping yards and burial grounds. He directed the officials concerned to take up construction works of sanctioned burial grounds and instructed them to send proposals for boundary walls for sanctioning the funds.

Collector Patil instructed officials to register the lands donated for constructing dumping yard in Bankapur and start the works at the earliest. He suggested to plant saplings around dumping yards and burial grounds. Trainee collector Pratima Singh, DPO Vishnuvardhan, RDO Rohit Singh, MPDOs, tahsildars, sarpanches, officials of mandal and villages were accompanied the Collector.
