Sangareddy: A 10-year-old girl Neetu died due to alleged medical negligence here at government hospital on Monday. The deceased from Lakshmisagar village in Pulkal mandal had been suffering from illness for one week and consulted at Jogipet hospital.

She was diagnosed anaemia, typhoid. Her health condition deteriorated and shifted to Sangareddy hospital. She was admitted in early hours of Monday. But the same day the girl died due to cardiac arrest.

According to Dr Ashok, who was on the duty then said that the girl was week and anaemic, suffering from typhoid. "We treated her for typhoid but due to anaemic condition, she had cardiac arrest," the doctor said.

On the other hand, the version of the victim's kin is different. When the victim was admitted, the doctor on duty Dr Niharika said everything was fine, they said. "Then the girl was taken downstairs and had breakfast and climbed the stairs, which means she was not weak. And how come Dr Ashok says that she was weak due to anaemia," they questioned.

The kin of the victim are demanding action against the doctors and medical staff who carelessly handled the case and caused death of an innocent girl.
