Warangal: The newly elected SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union has asserted that it would strive hard for the welfare of the employees. Assistant Registrar of the School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) G Sarala Devi, who was the election officer, announced that the new committee was elected unanimously on Thursday.
The employees, who formally met SDLCE Director Prof Guguloth Veeranna, apprised him of the newly elected members. The Director and the Assistant Registrar wished the new committee on the occasion.
The office bearers of the SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union: President Dr Kotte Bhaskar, Vice-President Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj, General Secretary Polepaka Prathap, Joint Secretary (Organisation) Maddela Venkateshwarlu, Joint Secretary (Recreation) Akunuri Sudaiah, Treasurer Bochu Gopi, Ladies Representative P Padmavathi. The tenure of the committee is two years, according to Sarala Devi.
Speaking on the occasion, Kotte Bhaskar said: "The union is committed to achieve all the justifiable benefits of the SC/ST employees." The leaders said that they would exert pressure on Kakatiya University management to fill the backlog posts in SDLCE.
