NGO, GHMC clean up PHC & surroundings in Amberpet
A voluntary organisation, Arun Praja Seva Sadan, took up clean and green programme in and around the primary health centre (PHC) located in Municipal Colony with the cooperation of the GHMC staff, following complaints of local residents that the sanitary conditions there were worst.

The residents had complained about the widespread growth of weeds and indiscriminate dumping of plastic bottles. Besides, garbage, including used medicines, was emitting unbearable stench.
Sadan president Anand Goud told The Hans India that the unhealthy surroundings and the doctors' negligence were affected the health of patients, besides the newborns, as they faced the danger of getting afflicted with diseases like dengue fever prevailing in the twin cities.
Goud urged the PHC doctors to shun their negligent attitude and inform the GHMC staff about the unclean sanitary conditions prevailing there so that they could undertake clean and green drive.
Among the representatives of Sadan who participated in the cleanliness drive, besides Goud, were Srinu, Ayan, Rajesh, Shiva, Shiva Reddy and Narsing.
