Nirmal: Revenue Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy on Tuesday said that every farmer should carry out the soil test of their fields and cultivate suitable crops as per the suggestions and advice of scientists.

The Minister inaugurated a soil testing center, constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in Nirmal district.

The Minister said that in the past, the farmers of the district had to go to Adilabad for soil tests, which was not only costly but also take time. He said the government would provide a subsidy of Rs 26,000 for the first year, Rs 5,000 for the second year and Rs 5,000 for the third year to promote foil cultivation. Farmers want to adopt the crop rotation method. The Minister said that medical and nursing colleges have been sanctioned to the district as Nirmal district is moving ahead in the development trajectory. If the medical college works start, it will be further developed.
