Nizamabad: District Collector MRM Rao warned the leaders that they will be declared ineligible for contesting the elections for six years if they do not show their election expenses, at a meeting at Pragati Bhavan here on Tuesday.

The candidates were directed to submit their election expenditure to the authorities concerned by June 21. If they fail to submit the details, then notices will be served to each candidate. Either the candidates or his/her representative can show the accounts of election expenses.

Stating that district cooperative officer Simhachalam has been appointed as the Nodal Officer, the Collector suggested the candidates to take the advice of Simhachalam and submit the records without errors. Election expenditure observers Kiran Mohan and Tara Prakash have asked the candidates to submit an expenditure report at the earliest.
