Nizamabad Collector inaugurates volleyball tournament
District Collector M Rammohan Rao inaugurated CBSE Cluster-VII volleyball tournament - 2019 at SSR (CBSE) School in Jannepally village of Navipet mandal on Wednesday.
Navipet (Nizamabad): District Collector M Rammohan Rao inaugurated CBSE Cluster-VII volleyball tournament - 2019 at SSR (CBSE) School in Jannepally village of Navipet mandal on Wednesday.
The Collector said this is the first time in CBSE history that volleyball tournament is conducted in rural area and it is more prestigious that this is in our district.
He said sports also very important along with education as sports will develop their mental and physical health. He advised the parents to encourage their wards to participate in various sports. More than 70 teams from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated in the tournament.
On the first day, 22 teams participated and 11 teams – Sri Vidyaniketan, Tirupati; Arabindo Public School, Nalanda Vidyaniketan, Sri Prakash School, Don Bosco School, VS Saint Johns, and Delhi Public School, Hyderabad – entered into the second round.
SSR founder Dr Maraiah Goud, correspondent Haritha Goud, Principal Bhaskar Meriga, CBSE representative from Chennai Chinmayan, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and others were present.
