Nereducherla(Suryapet): Demanding a bypass road to Nereducherla, leaders of all parties along with the victims due to of road widening works organised rasta roko on Miryalaguda-Kodad road on Friday.
The main road of Nereducherla is being widened in view of three-lane road between Jadcherla and Khammam, due to which, small business people and hackers, who have been doing business for the last 40 years, will lose their livelihood. Hence a proposal for bypass road has been under discussion for the last few years.
Along with the locals, leaders of Congress, BJP, CPI, CPM, TDP staged rasta roko, obstructing the officials from taking measurements for road widening. This halted traffic on both sides of Miryalguda-Kodad road.
Leaders of Opposition parties demanded the government to construct bypass road to Nereducherla to save 400 house owners and road-side vendors. Oustees warned to intensify their stir if the government do not fulfil its promise of laying by-pass road to Nereducherla.
