Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and Rachakonda police organised the Margdarshak orientation programme for 140 employees of 56 Central and State government institutions and other organisations.

Hyderabad: Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and Rachakonda police organised the Margdarshak orientation programme for 140 employees of 56 Central and State government institutions and other organisations.

As an ongoing project of equipping civil society and employees of the IT industry and private entities, a unique initiative was taken up to rope in the government institutions including research institutes and media houses.

Mahesh M Bhagwat, Rachakonda Police Commissioner interacted with the participants. The employees were briefed on Internal Complaints Committee, understanding of sexual harassment at the workplace, reporting procedures and provisions available.

Emphasis was laid on various platforms that were available for women to report various forms of abuse against them.

Margdarshaks are now empowered with information to channel victims to various helplines and support centres available.

He urged them to bring in a positive change in the lives of distressed women and spoke in detail about referring to latest case studies and trends of cyber frauds and cyberstalking towards women and stressed on the need to be vigilant.
