Dichpalli: District Collector M Rammohan Rao called on the villagers to welcome the guests with cleanliness and greenery.

Dichpalli mandal participated in the Swachhta Hi Seva programme in the Nudikuda village to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Floral tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion. District Collector Rammohan Rao said caution should be exercised at the entrance of the villages and garbage should not be thrown there. If the waste is thrown on roads, a fine will be imposed. The Collector appealed to all villagers to live as clean as the descendants of Gandhiji.

He said that everyone should take responsibility for the eradication of plastic, which harms the cattle and human beings alike.

DRDO Ramesh Rathod, MPDo Surender, MPP Bhummanna sarpanch and others participated in the event.
