Piled up garbage causes stench

Badichowdi: On one side of Kachiguda crossroads, a mountain of garbage, comprising of household filth, thrown away on the roadside by some residents of the locality was found to be stinking for the last five days.

It has become a problem for the commuters and pedestrians passing through this route every day. Animals like dogs and pigs started feeding on it and excreting at the same place.

Locals expressed fear that the piling up of filth everyday may lead to the outbreak of various diseases, thus affecting the health of the people. Already, they were unable to bear the bad odour in that area which was making them breathless, they added.
