Saidapur (Karimnagar): Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) president Sarabudla Prabhakar Reddy ordered the officials of education department to take measures for providing quality food for the students of Model School as part of mid-day meals scheme. He made a surprise visit and inspected Saidapur Model School on Wednesday and checked the records and attendance register. Later he interacted with the students and enquired about the education provided to them and the food during mid-day meals programme.

The MPP also inspected the hostel and facilities provided to the girl students staying in the hostel.The students told the MPP that snakes and scorpions are coming into the hostel due to lack of compound wall and they have problems with insufficient toilets in the hostel.

After having lunch with the students, MPP S Prabhakar Reddy expressed ire on the officials for not maintaining quality in the food provided to the students. He immediately called on Mandal Education Officer Narasimha Reddy and spoke to him about the issue and gave him strict orders to provide quality food for students.

MEO Narasimha Reddy, who rushed to the school, explained to the MPP about the arrangements that are being made to provide mid-day meals to the students and assured the MPP that he would take appropriate measures to provide quality food.

The MPP ordered the school staff to provide high standard education to the students along with imparting general knowledge to them.Sarpanch Paidimalla Susheela, Thirupathi, Lakshmannapally,Ramulu, Vennampalli, Budla Raju Reddy were present along with others.
