Within hours after the announcement made by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao over the running of RTC buses, many busses across the state have flocked on to the roads on Tuesday morning. The State-run buses have resumed service after nearly two months since March 22. According to CM KCR, the buses were on the roads from 6 am on Tuesday. Bus services have started all over the state except in Hyderabad city. The RTC has proposed that passengers be allowed 50 percent of occupancy by maintaining physical distance.

The cabinet, which met on Monday has suggested that buses should be run without any restrictions, as the public is already aware of social distancing. Despite the lot of speculations over hike in charges, the Telangana government has not resorted to such means as it has already increased the charges in the recent past.

It is advised that the passengers be carried masks and sanitizers along to protect themselves from the virus. Buses from the districts to Hyderabad do not travel to MGBS however, it were allowed to the Jubilee bus station. Buses from Nalgonda to Hyderabad are allowed up to LB Nagar, Mahabubnagar buses to Aramgarh and Warangal buses to Uppal. Buses from Nizamabad and Adilabad would be allowed to JBS.
