In the latest, the police took RTC JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy into custody at Liberty and shifted him to the nearby police station.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed on the tank bund when around 50 RTC workers protesting at the Buddha Bhavan rushed towards tank bund breaking the police barricades. They were arrested and sent to the police station.
The city police have arranged tight security at the tank bund and made prior arrests to prevent the RTC workers and opposition leaders from joining the Chalo Tank Bund march. On the other hand, protests are continuing across the state over the arrest of the TSRTC workers.
