Warangal: The TSRTC employees' ongoing strike has on Friday equalled the 2011 Sakala Janula Samme that lasted for 42 days. The Sakala Janula Samme may have altered the course of the separate Statehood movement resulting in the formation of Telangana, but the ongoing RTC strike has so far created no impact on the State government.
The RTC employees who gathered at the Warangal Depot-1 raised slogans against the government for not being sensitive towards their strike. The JAC leaders who recalled their role in the Sakala Janula Samme said that even though the employees were facing severe hardships without salaries for the last two months, the government has little concern towards them to resolve the impasse.
They held government responsible for the death of 20-odd employees since the strike began on October 5. Meanwhile, the administration deployed police in large numbers at the strike.
