Saplings lie in neglect at tandur municipal office
The prestigious programme of Haritha Haram, taken up by the State government has attracted other states. The government officials are being told repeatedly to plant and save the trees.
Tandur: The prestigious programme of Haritha Haram, taken up by the State government has attracted other states. The government officials are being told repeatedly to plant and save the trees.
District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam has been paying special attention on this programme. Political leaders, officials and people en masse participated and planted a big number of plants.
Despite all these measures, some officials seem to be negligent about the programme. Due to this, saplings meant for Haritha Haram are being left unattended on the premises of the Tandur municipal office. These plants are strewn at the main entrance. They also started growing in the polythene bags.
People, who visit municipal office are wondering how these saplings are thrown recklessly. They feel at least now officials should plant them for the sake of improving greenery in the town.
