Mohammad Musavvir Ali, a scholar from a remote village in Asifabad district, received his doctoral degree at the 80th convocation of Osmania University from Vice-Chancellor S Ramachandram and chief guest S Chandrashekar, Director, IICT, in Hyderabad recently.

Asifabad: Mohammad Musavvir Ali, a scholar from a remote village in Asifabad district, received his doctoral degree at the 80th convocation of Osmania University from Vice-Chancellor S Ramachandram and chief guest S Chandrashekar, Director, IICT, in Hyderabad recently.

Musavvir, who hails from Gudem in Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district, took his research on the topic "Volatility spill over in between gold prices and stock prices in India." He was guided by Prof K Pratap Reddy of Department of Economics, Osmania University. Attaining doctorate in academics is a goal I aspired for, said Musavvir, who has trained scores of students taking up various competitive exams at national and State-level.
