The members of Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) staged a protest in front of Tahsildar offices across the district demanding the government to solve their issues and also fulfil the promises that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had made to them prior to Assembly elections in December last.

Khammam: The members of Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) staged a protest in front of Tahsildar offices across the district demanding the government to solve their issues and also fulfil the promises that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had made to them prior to Assembly elections in December last.

Demanding immediate issuance of accreditation cards to all eligible journalists, the agitators submitted a memorandum to Khammam Urban and Rural Tahsildhars V Ram Murthy and Sunil Reddy respectively. The leaders of Congress, CPM, CPI, Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Party extended their support to the protesting scribes. Union leaders T Murali Krishna, Mysa Papa Rao, K Gopi, Ch Srinivas Rao, R Basaveswara Rao, A Appa Rao and others took part in the protest.
