Secunderabad: The president of Mala Mahanadu, G Chennaiah, on Monday warned the BJP government at the Centre not even to think of removing reservations which were provided by the Constitution to SCs, STs and BCs. He was speaking at a meeting organised by Mala Mahanadu at Balamrai committee hall in Cantonment division on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, G Chennaiah said they were keenly observing atrocities being committed by the right-wing organisations such as RSS, Bajarang Dal and VHP. Efforts were being made to coordinate with SCs, STs and minority communities to stage united fight against Hindutva forces. He urged people from the downtrodden sections to participate in their fight. He advised the central government to respect constitution and protect its values. Cantonment Board member Prabhakar, senior Congress leader Dayakar Dayanand, Rachakonda Vinod Kumar, Sriramulu, G Ramesh and others attended the meeting.
