Secunderabad : The Republic of India proudly celebrates 'Vijay Diwas' on December 16 every year to commemorate the victory of Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
As part of the nationwide celebrations, a wreath-laying ceremony was organised at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Army Parade Ground, Secunderabad, by the officers of Headquarters Telangana and Andhra Sub Area on Wednesday.
The occasion was a spectacular event, with display of military bBand and all the officers and men attired in full military ceremonial dress paid homage to the brave hearts who laid down their lives in defending the nation, said senior officer, Defence Wing, Hyderabad.
